Overview

I. Application
This instrument is precise, durable, and highly accurate, and is used to test toys for hazardous sharp edges.
 
II. Principle
This instrument utilizes a cylindrical rotating mechanism, which allows polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tape to wrap around its perimeter. The edge is then subjected to a force of 1.35 lbs at the center of the tape's width. While maintaining a uniform force at the test edge, the axis completes a full rotation.
